Vintage porcelain biscuit jar was made in the Haviland factory in Limoges France. It is 7"H x 6"W at its widest handle point. Moss Rose is a highly coveted pattern and. the Limoges pattern is hand painted, not transferware, so no two pieces will be exactly alike. The hand painted jar shows the delicate moss rose against milky white porcelain, with gold decoration and a rope design on the lid handle. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or crazing and gold trim is has very slight fading in a couple of spots so it must be hand washed to maintained its condition. It is larger than a sugar bowl; meant for small treats such as cookies, candy, or a fancy holder for pet treats.
