John and Grace Frank started their art pottery business in 1938 in Oklahoma. Frankoma is their last name + "oma" from Oklahoma. They produced a variety of wares, but their open-stock tableware was one of their primary product lines. Frankoma Potteries closed in 2004.

Some surface scratches due to use.
Each plate has some unevenness or spots in the glaze and clay - part of Frankoma's artistry! Pictures are of 1 plate - similar to the other plates available for sale
I have 2 of these that have a very even yellow glaze on the plate surface. Some people like the great variety of the gold and tan on the plates; I like a more uniform appearance on the plates, so i was able to collect these overtime that are a very close match.
