Vintage Franciscan Starburst Atomic 10-7/8" Dinner Plates Set of Two c.1950s This is a set of two identical dinner plates in an ovoid shape from Franciscan's Starburst space-age design line offered in the mid twentieth century as part of its "Modern America" collection. Released in 1954, Starburst was a huge hit and has become very collectible in the 21st century. Franciscan backstamps very accurately inform the age of their piece--this is the round stamp with text that dates this from February 1954 to July 1958. We have 6 total plates and are offering them in sets of two to provide you with the option to fill out your collection or buy all and start a new one. We also have available 6 of the rare 8" salad plates in a separate listing. These plates are heavy and will require plenty of packing and a thick wall box to ensure safe delivery--DO NOT BUNDLE unless you are willing to pay the extra shipping cost (about $12.00) for excess weight.
