Vintage Framed Crewel Dutch Windmill 19x23 Sunset Stitchery Complete Embroidery

This handmade crewel embroidered piece was completed by my grandmother. This was one of her favorite pastimes from the 70s to 90s! As you can see, the picture itself is in excellent vintage condition, the colors are still vibrant and no fraying of the embroidery. The kits Sunset Stitchery embroidery Kit #2479, “Dutch Windmill," designed by Barbara Jennings, 1981. Poly-cotton fabric, embroidered with wool yarns. A bright and colorful crewel, in EXCELLENT condition, of a yellow windmill surrounded by flowers in the foreground. The bright yellow windmill is certainly the focal point of this artwork. The whole piece measures approximately 23”Long x 19”wide x 2” deep. The stitching is beautifully done. The frame is a light colored wood, possibly oak & in good condition. It is ready to hang with sturdy wire. The intricate details of the trees, flowers, fence & windmill are sure to impress.
