Vintage Fostoria American Round 14" Clear Glass Torte Plate Serving Platter

Beautifully clear, large torte plate or serving platter with the iconic FA #2056 "melting ice cube" effect. Fostoria pressed glass was handmade and hand-finished by skilled craftsmen who blew the glass into the mold, further shaped it by hand, and “fire-polished” it in a bath of flames. The end product is clear and crisp but without sharp edges. -Excellent condition; no chips, cracks, fogging, or repairs -This "block geometric" pattern was introduced in 1915 and produced until 1988 -Edges curl up slightly -Price includes additional cost of overweight/over-achiever shipping -The last photo shows this platter with four green tumblers in a similar pattern, which are being sold in a separate listing.
