Vintage Folk Art Oil Can

How adorable is this vintage oil can which was painted in the folk art style in the 1970s? The can itself is an old oil can be labeled St. Louis which was over painted in the 1970s with a lovely traditional floral rose with accents. The can itself is very wonky with dents and was probably in that condition when it was painted. There are a few surface scratches on the black paint on the spout and a few more on the body, but the floral design is quite lovely and still very vibrant and pristine. Super charming, would make a great little vase to hold flowers in or a dried flower arrangement. You could also set a small glass inside the can so as to keep your flowers fresh without rusting the can. A great example of an American Toleware piece. The bottom of the can is rusty and is inscribed; To Mom with the date: 9.5.77. Lots of chips and dings, so this is for the shabby chic/authentically well loved vintage collector. :-) Dimensions: 5.25 inches tall, 7.5 inches tall with the spout. 13 inches circumference at base, 11 inches circumference below the spout.
