I remember going to our local Woolworth store’s restaurant and soda fountain with my grandmother when I was a child and having our lunch served on the Fire King Jadeite dishes. Sweet memories!
FIRE KING Jadeite is one of the most highly sought after pieces of American tableware. It was first produced in the USA by Anchor Hocking during the 1940s. These dessert bowls are chunky-looking, being made from the heavier restaurant ware line. The manufacturer marks on the bottom: “Fire King Oven Ware”. Below this are the numbers 9 or 18. Not sure what that means. Details include:
* Brand: Anchor Hocking Fire King
* Dimensions: 4 5/8” diameter x 1” H
* Material: Jadeite
* Color: Green
* Set of 3
* Dessert/fruit bowls
* Very collectible

@mbhetzel Hi! Ah, memories. My grandmother and I would go down to Woolworth’s basement and look at pots and pans, then upstairs for nylons and hairnets, and then over to the lunch counter. That’s the only time I ever saw Fire King dishes. These dishes have no cracks or chips. Thanks for looking at my closet!
