Vintage European 100% cotton Nightgown, homemade, white

All cotton sheeting material is on the heavy side. Short sleeves are seamless; square neckline. Lace trim on sleeve sides and edges; and around the neck. Four sets of tucks on the upper bodice adds femininity. Because of the way the sleeves are made, the gown is best suited for thin upper arms and minimal bust. No marked size, but it seems like a modern size 10 or 12 would be fine. (Shown here on a size 12 mannequin.) Excellent vintage condition, no apparent defects, But sold as is. This gown came from Italy. Back story: nightgowns such as this were made from the good parts of old linen/cotton bedlinens—then stored in trunks for a daughter’s or granddaughter’s wedding night trousseau. Stored carefully by me (in the US) for the last 25 years. Excellent vintage condition. Pit to pit= approx. 20” Shoulder to hem= approx. 44”
