The photos cannot capture the beauty and elegance of this dress! I purchased it from the original owner who paid $5,000 in the early 60's to have it designed by Estevez for New York City galas. He was the youngest designer to win the prestigious Coty Award of Excellence, as well as the first Hispanic designer to do so. Deep pockets set in princess skirt seam. Back zip. Fully lined with crinoline. I receive compliments galore on this one-of-a-kind dress!! You will too!!

pretty4you @persichini it is tea length - think vintage 60's party dress. The lady who had Estevez design the dress paid $5k--hard to imagine even by today's standards.

pretty4you @persichini Did you see the J.Crew collection black and cream size 0 dress? Photo isn't great, but maybe I can find a stock photo. You might consider an ornamental belt if you wanted to make it even more distinctive. I can try some ideas tomorrow on the mannequin.

pretty4you And re: the Collection dress, it's not solid black. The lace above the strapless inner slip and sleeves are just lace. It's a nice dress AND I can check what I have.

pretty4you I just posted the stock photo for J. Crew Collection dress 06921. It may give you a different look at the bit too dark, snow day photo.

geekyizzy Hello, I am only 16 and am absolutely in love with this dress!!! And wish that I could afford it! It's on my wish list.

pretty4you @geekyizzy I am going to lower the price a bit. It's a beautiful dress made by the 1st Hispanic designer to receive the Coty Award of Excellence. Can't believe that the sweet lady who owned it spent $5000 to have it designed.

pretty4you @fashionjack34 Thanks so much for reaching out. I believe that the dress is fairly priced, given the fact that the original owner paid $5,000 in the early ‘60’s to have it designed. I try to offer quality items at a reasonable price.

fashionjack34 @pretty4you No problem I was getting it for someone but it’s probably too small so I thought well I’ll make an offer and if it’s meant then it’s meant thanks so much ❤️👍

pretty4you @fashionjack34 Happy to measure, and while I try to be fair, am selling online to help pay family expenses.

abyaida
abyaida @pretty4you hi, I saw the measurements for waistline and bust, would you please let me know the length?
Mar 15Reply
pretty4you
pretty4you @abyaida Hi! Sorry for the slight delay. The dress length from the back zipper to hem is 38”. Since there is a slight dip in the back, I measured from shoulder to hem - 41.5”. This dress was custom made in the 50’s which explains the 1/2” length. I’m 5’2.5” tall. The dress falls mid-length, and I have worn it with 3”+ heels. It would work equally well for someone who is taller. Please feel free to ask questions if needed.
