Vintage Emerson Creek Iris Vase 1990

From Bedford, VA, comes a beloved local piece of art pottery. Emerson Creek Pottery was opened in 1977 by the potters of Emerson House in Massachusetts. They carried their kiln, brick by brick, from New England to the Blue Ridge. Very collectible. Here is a lovely hand painted purple Iris with the desirable exposed clay neck and base. Crazing and four hairline fissures inside the neck. 6 inches tall, 2.5 inches across the rim. American studio art pottery legacy piece.
