Vintage Elk Mug in Deep Red, Marked Germany, 3.5"

Pretty deep red mug, signed Germany, depicting elk. So simple but beautiful and calming. There is the usual age paint wear and slight crazing on the bottom. What might appear as a chip or crack in the handle, evident in the photos, is paint wear. This is a lovely piece. Given the mark of Germany and the colors and motif, I'm guessing this piece is from the 40s or 50s at the latest.
