Vintage Elephant Candle Holder or Trinket Dish or Ashtray

This is a decorative handcrafted Vintage Elephant Candle Holder or Trinket Dish. It does not have any cracks or chips. It measures 5.5" Wide x 6" Tall and weighs 1.8 pounds. The elephant's nose is up at the bottom so it is good luck. On the elephant's back is the ashtray or trinket dish and has carvings along the top. The elephant looks like it is dressed for a parade, with tapestry that has fringe on the ends, this appears on both sides. The back of the elephant is also decorated with tassels. On the head of the elephant there is a cap and is strapped around the eyes and mouth that connects to the side dressings. It is a off white to beige and the designs are carved in in a light brown. This is a stunning piece and would look great on a desk or bookshelf.
