This pedestal flower vase is marked E.O. BRODY CO M5000 CLEVELAND.O.U.S.A. The E.O. Brody Company was founded in 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio by Ernest Oscar Brody, aka E.O. His company was not a glass manufacturer itself, but rather a distributor. The company specialized in creating flower vases for wholesale florists. The E.O. Brody products were created out of molds marked with the company's name, manufactured by glass companies. In 1971, E.O. Brody Company was bought by Lancaster Colony Corporation. Indiana Glass is thought to have been the primary producer of E.O. Brody glassware. In 2007, E.O. Brody and Indiana Glass were acquired by Anchor Hocking.
E.O. Brody milk glass was mass-produced, meaning you can easily find a plethora of them - just be careful to check for cracks! This one is likely from the 1960s-1980s. It is thick milk glass and it's a pressed glass piece. Can you find its seam amongst the ribbing?
In excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks.
Dimensions: ~7.5 inches tall.
How to Care For: Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild dish detergent. Hand dry.
