Vintage Duncan & Miller Canterbury Heavy Pressed Glass Clear Scalloped Creamer & Sugar A beautiful creamer and open sugar set by Duncan Miller in the Canterbury Heavy Pressed clear scalloped pattern. The pattern was in production from 1939 to 1955. The brilliant, clear pressed glass is heavy with ground bases. Scalloped all around body and top edge. Creamer sits - 5/8 inches high x 4-3/4 inches from spout to handle. Sugar bowl sits 3-1/4 inches high x 5-1/2 inches, handle to handle. Both pieces are in beautiful condition with no damage or sigh of use. The glass is sparkling and clear. Duncan & Miller Co. was in business from in Pennsylvania from 1893 to 1955. During the 1920’s Duncan began to produce colored glass and introduce patterns inspired by modern design, art deco in the 20’s and 30’s and mid-century modern in the 40’s and 50’s. These design trends were inspired by a series of industrial designers hired by Duncan. YP1
