These five one-of-a-kind pieces are all unique and are in very good vintage condition with a normal bit of wear from age and use. They each measure about 3.0 inches in diameter. Carpet balls originated in Scotland in the late 1700s. The balls or bowls were kept near the front door of most Scottish mansions in the 19th century and used to play the parlor game, Parlour Bowl.
