Vintage Dave and Johnny full length halter gold and black ball gown.

Absolutely stunning vintage gown by Dave and Johnny. Excellent vintage condition. The bodice is a halter style crushed black velvet with two hook and eye closures and zipper in back. There’s a thin string on the interior and idk if it’s meant to be an alternative way to wear the dress with extra support, or for hanging purposes. It does come with the two loops at armpits for hanging. Three beautiful round rhinestone silver and gold buttons adorn the front of the bodice. The skirt is full length and full bodied with three separate layers. The bottom layer is satin or taffeta with black tulle at the hem. Second layer is shiny gold taffeta and third layer is shiny gold chiffon. One tiny snag in the chiffon as pictured. But it’s on the side, about 6 inches from the bottom, and with the second layer being the same color, it’s almost impossible to see. It won’t run. Material is primarily acetate. Bust 15” Waist 13” Length approx 59” I can only imagine the beautiful way the skirt shimmers and flows when one is walking through the lobby at an opera, and all the heads turning. Dress form is a size xs-small and 4 ft from neck to floor.
