Vintage Gold Tone Damascene Bracelet with Safety Chain The bracelet is approximately ¾" wide with a lovely scroll. The art of Damascene is inlaying different metals into one another—typically, gold or silver into a darkly oxidized steel background in order to produce intricate patterns similar to niello. The English term comes from a perceived resemblance to the rich tapestry patterns of damask silk. Excellent, pre-owned condition (see photos).
