Royal Stuart Masonic Order of Eastern Star Cup and Saucer, Star Hand Painted, Pink Roses with Brushed Gold Trim and Stars. Beautiful tea cup and saucer with an interesting shape, lots of roses and stars. The larger stars have hand painted embellishments. Cup and saucer are in near mint / very good condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

The owner and Managing Director was Spencer Stevenson. Sometimes directories listed the company as Stevenson, Spencer & Co Ltd, leading people to think (wrongly) there there were two people - a Mr Stevenson and a Mr Spencer.
Originally manufacturing at the Dresden Works, Bagnall Street, Longton.
In 1951 the company officers were listed as Manging Director: Spencer Stevenson; Sales Manageress: Miss F. Stevenson; Art Director: H. Eardley; Works Manager: A. Thompson.
By 1956 they were listed at the Enson Works, Chelson Street, Longton. The company officers were Manging Director: Spencer Stevenson; Works Director: Eric S. Stevenson; Sales Manageress: Miss F. Stevenson; Art Director: S. T. Dunn; Works Manager: A. Thompson.
Manufacturing stopped in 1960 but they continued as a distributor of ceramic ware.
