Super Bowl XXXIII, played on January 31, 1999 in Miami, Florida, saw the Denver Broncos defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-19. The Broncos, led by Hall of Famer John Elway, were the defending Super Bowl champions and entered the game with a 16-2 record, tied with the Falcons. Elway, in his final game, completed 18 of 29 passes for 336 yards, one passing and one rushing touchdown, and was named MVP. The Broncos also benefited from NFL MVP Terrell Davis' running.
