Vintage Cocktail Dress Made Punk Rock

This dress is from the 1940s/1950s era of history, a real vintage piece of herstory, I removed the sleeves back in the 90s because they were pretty ragged and wore this as is a la Courtney Love grunge Riot Grrrl look! You can do this too since fashion has cycled back to resurrect such aesthetics or you might task yourself with restoring this likely handmade beauty back to the life of the party cocktail dress she once was. While this dress is indeed antique, I am also factoring in the wear and tear when pricing it. Note the holes, loose threads, and ragged sleeve holes. The black fabric feels like a poly blend of some kind commonly used during the mid-century and has a tuxedo shirt style white ruffle bodice. Zips up the back is working well. Two little pockets in front are perfect for a pack of Lucky Strikes or compact mirror. Very Mad Man chic! A one of a kind when first fashioned and then even more so via my touches made as influenced by the anticipation of Y2K. Small to medium.
