spring_002 @loriesstr thanks . It’s photo 7, on the left if looking at the pic. Where you see the inside of where the strap attaches. It looks like there is something white on the brass fitting. And if you look at the next pic , the 2 brass fittings where the strap attaches (would be the ‘back’ strap when looking at pic) look like they have it , while the 2 brass fittings where the ‘front’ strap attaches look clear (nothing on them). Hope I am describing this correctly. Thanks !

loriesstr @spring_002 I think you are seeing the shine of reflection from leather to brass. Added more photo. No white marks on brass. Hope that helps
