Vintage Coach Small Satchel Natural Grain Style # 4310 in black leather. Strap is removable and adjustable, So you could use it for other bags in your collection.I love that this has the top zip closure, & exterior magnetic front pocket and back slip pocket. Brass hardware. Missing hangtag. What has this bag had done to it by me? The only thing that I have done is several rounds of Bick 4 leather conditioner over the last 3 months or so and buffed with a horse hairbrush after each round. Absolutely no dunking, no dyes or colorants, and no balms or color cremes. I’m a purist with my vintage Coach and take the “less is more” approach. The only thing applied was multiple rounds of Bick 4 leather conditioner. This bag has almost a dark forest green undertone in some lights, but based on my research, from the 1997 catalogue, they did not offer it in green, so it has to be black. One of the photos is the bag next to a black vintage Coach Murphy that I’m working on, so you can see the contrast in color. I love the large stretch mark/vein on the bottom of the bag, those natural markings from the hide are always my favorite, and what makes a bag unique. Great slouchy satchel and the pebbled leather is so soft and squishy. Not overly structured so it would be easy to store flat for compact storage or you could easily stuff it to help maintain its satchel’s shape. Bag will be shipped in a box.
