This is a genuine oil painting on copper, which is then fired in a kiln 30 to 40 times at 2000 Fahrenheit in the style of the Chinese Ming Dynasty. This painting is in a frame. There are a few little nicks on it. The artist S Lee was born in China in 1944 and we think he is still alive and if you go online, you can see many of his works, some of which are similar to this as he does a lot of still lives and then he also does some that are the most life like rooms of furniture and decor. And I’d like to add he has sold a lot. Many in the $600 range. On the back is a little about cloisonné, but the most important thing is the Certificate of Authenticity which was given by Colleen Art Corporation , there is no date, but the certificate is signed, numbered and the size is 4” x 8” and the actual frame size is 13. 5” x 9” the frame is gold and it has some brown velvet on the inside. So you can own a piece of historic art, which is signed by the artist and also certified of its authenticity. I’ll try to describe what cloisonne feels likes like: it is cool to the touch, bumpy and hard. This is art you don’t have to worry about punching a hole through or scratching the oil paint and is about 1/4” thick. Has sturdy hanger on back. Own a piece of rare art!
