Vintage Chelsea House Geisha Pottery Rose Bowl w/Metal Frog - England - Chinoiserie Japanese Vintage Chelsea House pottery rose bowl in matte cobalt blue glaze with beautiful vivid color transfers of a scene with Geisha Girls, boats, and lanterns that feature hand applied gold moriage work. In an urn shape, this comes with a metal mesh like frog insert. Chelsea House is an Enlgish fine art company that makes quality period reproductions and this was made in the style of popular Japonism vases from the 1920's. Marked on the bottom "Made In England." Excellent condition, one rough place on the rim that is original to the piece as it is covered with glaze. Measures 7" high and 7.5" wide. Very similar to Carlton Ware pieces.
