Vintage Ceramic Japanese Censer - River Scene with Shisa

Beautiful brown and yellow ceramic bisque censer with an interesting squashed rhombus shape. It's marked "Made in Japan" on the bottom and likely from around the 1920's, making this a true antique. Using gilding and Moriage enamel, it shows a river scene with a man and a woman in the foreground and a building in the background. A shiisaa finial guards the lid. Item is in good condition with a small area of paint loss on one side (see pictures). It would still function beautifully as an incense burner or just a decorative piece on your mantle.
