Vintage Carved Bird Tribal Choker

Smoothly carved from shell, a creamy white thunderbird flies ever upward in this simple choker. Paired with hand cut heishi and small spots of coral tube beads, this necklace has a wonderfully rich effect. It’s all about tonal neutral’s and texture telling a story. At the back a bevy of graceful silver bench beads ensure comfort in wearing. True Vintage, First Nations, with appropriate patina for the decades. Silver could use a polish, but I prefer to leave these choices to the caretaker; this piece will arrive with a small polishing cloth so you can choose your shine. 15” long Screw barrel clasp Strung on tiger tail wire, no kinks. Has a nice weight to it, is handmade, but beyond that there is not a lot of info. I suspect, given the presence of the silver bench beads & region it was squired in, that this is Navajo Diné.
