bamabooty22 What is your best offer price for this? And they could be shipped together? Thank you
Feb 13Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 I could sell you this for $600 - since you purchased the other. Just make me an offer for $600 & I will accept. I can ship them both Monday, but they have to be in separate boxes since you didn't bundle them & it needs to go to Poshmark first to be Authenticated.

bamabooty22 I don’t think I have that much left to spend, ugh, I do think it’s a very lovely piece.

bamabooty22
bamabooty22 Hi there, It looks like I’ll get my beautiful necklace on Monday, I am going to be out of town all week, so I can’t accept it until I get home on probably Friday no later than Saturday. My mom is in rehab since yesterday to try and learn how to walk again, we can’t visit her for about a week so I am using this opportunity to visit my new grandson, so I am leaving in the morning for about a week or a little less. I am interested in the Pearl necklace.

bamabooty22
bamabooty22 I might get you to hold it for me like you mentioned. Thank you

shockman18 @bamabooty22 Glad to hear your Mom is doing better. Have a wonderful time visiting your new grandson!!! Just let me know if you want me to put the other necklace on hold for you. I am going to be adding another few necklaces soon, but the prices are going to be much higher - $1200 - $2000. I will still accept $600 for the pearl drop from you. I offer an additional 10% off any price for returning customers ❤️

bamabooty22 Hi there, I can’t wait to see my necklace!!! Can you send me your best offer price on this? Thank you 😊
Mar 02Reply
bamabooty22
bamabooty22 I am sorry I didn’t see your message. Yes please hold it for me. I will be home Friday afternoon and I can get with you then. Thank you 😊
Mar 02Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 I listed some new pieces, 2 that are highly collectible, 1 very Rare. Based on quotes I got if I wanted to consign again, I was afraid that the prices would not help me move them quickly since they are priced higher than in the range I sell. Boy, I was wrong! The listings didn't post until almost midnight, but there was a very high end designer accessory party I was able to join & Share. I am already getting offers!!

shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 The Reason I am telling you this is because a potential buyer asked about buying direct, meaning I could give you a price lower than on Poshmark without me having to lose nearly as much & can keep priority clients this way. This is a violation of Poshmarks Rules, so you must take the first move to t.x.t me
Mar 03Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 47O594O86O The Zeros are Capital Os lol Your price would no longer be $600, it would be $510.

shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 I am marking the Necklace Not for Sale & hope to hear from you directly Friday 😁
Mar 03Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 First of all, how was your trip to see your grandson? How is your mother doing with her rehab? Did you get home & finally see your necklace? Are you happy with it? Do you still want this necklace? I can leave it under Not for Sale if you need a few more days.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I had a prior client who wanted a necklace (the Pearl with the single drop) - but she just couldn't spend what I needed for a bottom line. She showed me a way to get down to her price & it will not only change the price of your necklace from $600 to $450, it will get to you in a week as opposed to the 3+ weeks it takes to go thru Poshmark. 47O594O86O Yes, that is a cell for you to reach out & I can explain how you can save $150

bamabooty22 @shockman18 I am still in Atlanta, my son had some work stuff come up and we are supposed to leave in the morning, ugh, I am about to have a fit, lol, I have tons of stuff to do, my husband hates when I am away too long as well. I am about to bust open to see the necklace. The baby is wonderful but he wants lots of attention. My mom is due out on Thursday, it will be her 82nd birthday!!!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 If you have decided against buying the Necklace, please let me know so I can take off the Not Available. I had a few people add to a bundle & another offer of $600 before you had me put up the banner. You are a preferred client now, so I don't mind waiting longer, as long as I know 😉
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 Hoping you'll reach out using the # - I put Capital Os in place of Zeros to not violate policy & they also won't send any message that violates down. I wanted you to know about the Zeros since cut & paste to txt won't work lol

bamabooty22 It will definitely be tomorrow sometime before I do, after I get home and settled a minute, I will. Can’t wait to get everything! Thank you 😊
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 Your in Atlanta? What area? I live in Cartersville, about an hour NW of the City! I wish I would've known before I sent it, I could've met you to give it to you! I want to make sure you understand my subtle message about how to reach out... I will keep the banner up for another week no problem & check in with you next week.

shockman18 @bamabooty22 I am so jealous - want my oldest to get married to her boyfriend since they have been together 5 years so I can have a grandbaby. THERE IS NOTHING SO SWEET THAN THE HEAD OF A BABY 😁❤️
Mar 05Reply
bamabooty22
bamabooty22 @shockman18 yes I think I can figure it and and get with you as soon as I get home tomorrow, I was really ready to go home today. I had fun but I need to get back, they are definitely taking me home tomorrow morning sometime.

bamabooty22 OMG!!! My son lives in Dunwoody that has the baby, my other lives more in downtown Atlanta. So I am in Dunwoody. My daughter in law ate at Heaven Sent Cupcakes last week and said it’s fabulous!!! In your area. They travel some in the area with their jobs, my son is all over Atlanta and all the outlets, I love Douglasville, Carrollton and Villa Rica.
Mar 05Reply
bamabooty22
bamabooty22 That is so funny! How long have you lived in Cartersville?
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 We bought the house here just over a year ago. I lived in Buckhead for YEARS until I met my husband 8 years ago & moved out to Kennesaw - really missed the city & it's like Common Suburb USA. He still works in Kennesaw, but the housing market was & still is out of Control because of Covid, so we moved further out to get more for the $
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 There are almost 2 parts of Cartersville - literally, with the train that runs thru there are places that I would think of as "the wrong side of the tracks" lol We live on the other side, where there are houses that remind me of Buckhead, and true "Estates". We are in a nice Subdivision and have almost an acre at the end of a culdesac backing up to a culdesac behind us. Ironic I don't care for big houses built on top of one another as I am definitely a city girl
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 But, there is such a cute downtown area, reminds me of Virginia Highlands & part of Buckhead - where you can walk all around & they have some eclectic shops & great restaurants. It isn't abnormal when the weather is nice to have a musician playing on a street corner. There's a family owned pharmacy known for having one of the oldest Coca Cola Murals on the side. When I walk in, the pharmacist says "Hello Mrs. Starr, how have you been feeling lately?" They never say that at CVS 😂
Mar 05Reply
bamabooty22
bamabooty22 So many great places to eat everywhere. My oldest son lives in Buckhead, him and his girlfriend rent a place. He lived in midtown before as well, I think it’s starting to get a little bad there now, at one time both areas were wonderful, but you know better than me. The world is upside down these days. Yay your my southern friend, I live in Alabama as you know, lol.

Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 Get a good night sleep. I really enjoyed chatting with you. Understand, I wish I never had to sell any of my Chanel, but the way I see it, rather than sitting in a safe, someone will adore it, give it the wear it deserves, & my karma is good for giving someone joy ❤️
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 That's the reason, this new way of contact allows me a way to keep a true preferred customer list. I don't list very many pieces at a time, so that gives me less possible chance of someone buying me from me 2x. That said, I have had at least 35-40% of customers buy from me at least 2x...
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 We are kindred spirits! And you know your Vintage Jewelry. Just like Chanel, it is the Designers Name brings the price! I dealt with Haskell & Schreiner OF COURSE, but also Schiaparelli, Juliana, Eisenberg, DeMario, Mazer, Hobe, Weiss,Staret, Hattie Carnegie, Alice Caviness, EARLY Trifari & Coro - like the Duettes from the 30'-40s, Jelly Belly & Sterling. Trifari & Coro became much more mid-level in the 50' s on. Which makes my point about price & level.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 @bamabooty22 My Grandmother lived in Newark, NJ where I would bet HALF of the Costume Jewelry was made. The business really happened because the depression, people couldn't afford real Jewels. NY Diamond District...so Newark - Costume Jewelry, or what I like to call them & is the Title of one of my books is "Fabulous Fakes".
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I have a photographic memory. I got every book on Costume Jewelry I could. I read every word, looked at every picture. I look at all piece, I almost always know the designer. Some times, I need to see the back ESPECIALLY IF NOT SIGNED! Shiaparelli & Schreiner actually did pieces on consignment, so not signed. Juliana, definitely high end, was sold at home parties like Tupperware. "Designer Jewelry by Juliana Reference book". It is on sale at AMAZON for $2200!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I thrifed, went to yard sales & the auction site I can't name. Often many think not real gold = worthless. I'd see lot postings w/pics in piles few angles taken with a cell phone, I may see 1 piece worth 10x more than I'd pay for the lot. I misspelled Designer Names - imagine all the versions of Shiaparelli? I'd start w/min bid, if in reason, knowing I probably would be the only bidder. I used snipers so my bid would come in 10 sec before auction end. So many snipers now, they bid at 4 sec!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 My costs were low. I learned to replace dead or missing stones, or a single jump ring, which most would just think it was broken. I had so much to sell, but this was a year or 2 as my health started to decline. I didn't want to spend the time listing each piece = 4 pics, filling out the form, writing a description, answering questions, shipping, all along trying to keep at least 50 customers happy. Yes, I would easily increase my investment exponentially, but I didn't want to work that hard!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 So, I decided to post 50-150 pieces in a lot. I had a "recipe", 55%+ signed, 5-10% book pieces, which I would take next to the pic in the book, showing the value, often low as the books got older. 30% Parures, 15% either Sterling or Bakelite. I took a main pic w/some of the nicest pieces & put the designers name next to it, 1 pic of each set, then I did groups 1 signed, 1 unsigned. Necklaces, bracelets, brooches, duettes or dress/fur clips, & earrings finished by 1 pic of entire lot.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I sold wholesale & targeted resellers, making myself like their personal shopper to get the best ROI. I wrote a basic description listing Every Designer, how many book pieces w/value each then totaled. I was showing the value just 5-15 pieces could make started the Auctions at $.99 to get the exposure of sorting by low price.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 My lots sold for $1500-$4k. I sold 1 large or 2 small lots each month. I was very familiar with the best Costume Jewelry site, because they usually had some sort of research. When Amazing Adornments bought the 3rd lot, I went back & realized, like Chanel, customers were buying more than once. You got to see the online contact thru their payment, so I made a group that I could send 1 message to. That was the beginning of me having a preferred client list.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I could do back flips when it came to Customer Service because I had 1 or 2 Customers each month. After awhile, I was able to stop listing about 80% of the time because 1 of 6 stores would buy after they saw the lot. And they bought fast since they could see their competition by address name!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 As I got sick, I couldn't keep up though. Once I stopped buying, I had enough inventory for maybe 15 more auctions, and now I have some very special pieces (like Chanel) that I hope to leave my daughters & enough for a small lot if I spent maybe a day measuring & ordering the stones I need, then at least a week replacing, a day to take & edit all the pics & buy a set of high end non signed pieces. I just can't seem to get out the tape & make a list of the replacement stones.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I actually have 2 Miriam Haskell necklaces, both easily restored, 1 signed, 1 from before she signed. I KNOW it's a Haskell because of the style, but at the beginning she used a spring ring clasp that doesn't have a little knob on the outside edge to open & close. Hers had a ridge at the opening that slid back the wire into the clasp. I have 1 that 1 jump ring broke, but the wire thru the beads is tarnished and 1 that has some pealing pearls. I know the places to shop for New Old Stock.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 It may be a good hobby to restore some Haskell. Give me a hobby outside of binge watching or researching medical, legal, or other topping I that is relevant to something going on that I need to understand. I am an autodidact & when I get manic, I research to a point I become practically an expert!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I work sitting in bed, even use a trey table lol. I tried a table because it is so frustrating when a tiny rhinestone flips out of your hand...but it's act easier in the bed to make a valley for anything to roll in instead of me crawling on the floor, not finding it - until you step on it point size up! 😮 Plus, it requires so much work with your hands & a major part of my health issued is joint pain. During a flare up, I feel like the tin man.
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I promise, if I restore any of the Haskell, I will give you first chance to see! That makes you a platinum client, for giving me the idea lol 😁 I apologize for the Novella! It's been so long since I have really thought about my past with Vintage Jewelry! Hopefully you are having nice dreams. I'm ready for. 💤 Goodnight 😊 Have a safe trip home - AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE THE NECKLACE!!!

bamabooty22 Omg I love it!!! I definitely want the other one, I just got home so I can get with you later today or tomorrow whichever is more convenient! My necklace made my cry with joy!!! Yayyyy, thank you 😊 thank you 😊 😊
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I AM SOOO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKE IT!! I know I wrote you a Novella yesterday, but that's kind of the point about being able to have a "preferred client list". I get to know my customers & actually become more of a real friend than the 5k friends I have on Facebook!
Mar 05Reply
shockman18
shockman18 I would love to get this done today, because it is my birthday. This extra money would not make me feel guilty buying myself something nice - especially since I tell people no presents, no big to do, just another year to bring more grey hair to dye!
