Vintage Brass Eagle with laurel wreath desk statue MCM Mid Century Modern

Vintage Brass Eagle with laurel leaves desk statue MCM Mid Century Modern Federal Eagle holding a laurel wreath in his beak & an olive branch & arrows in his talons. VTG at least I think this is brass, but it could be bronze, not sure of the difference. It is slightly heavy. It almost appears like it could have been a trophy. The eagle itself is not soldered into the base, so it is only slightly loose, but really no biggie!
