Vintage Box 40s Victorian Woman Embossed “ Leather “ Recipe Box Vanity Storage

Darling 1940s storage box by Harlich Manufacturing Co, Chicago. Embossed faux leather in ivory. The top features an elegant, feather-hatted Victorian woman in profile (lavender purple and jade green). The cameo-style image with gilded frame is encircled by an ornate design. “Recipes” is imprinted in a decorative script on the front in gold. The interior is lined in red paper. It measures 5.5” W x 4” H x 4.25” D. It shows a few signs of age and use (e.g., the paper where the lid is attached in back is beginning to rip, there is some overall wear and a remnant of a sticker in front), but is otherwise in remarkably good condition for its age!
