The book cover is adorned with engraving framing a prong set glass cameo in white with a black background. The locket is adorable, measuring one inch tall not including the 1/4 inch fancy bail. It is 5 mm deep not including the cameo. The cameo is glass, not stone. This book locket is very well made. It is not marked. The locket is in good condition. There is some patina left, but no dents. The gold plating is lighter on the outside than the inside. The frames for the photos are included. This book locket is estimated to date from the 1960s Victorian Revival.
