Vintage Bone Plates by Alfred Meakin Vintage, Crescent / Royal Semi-Porcelain

2 very beautiful unique royal semi-porcelain Alfred Meakin Ltd Bone Plates, made in England. The Plates design are Windermere pattern, soft pale green garlands of flowers on a white background with lots of gold around the rim and also incorporated in the floral design. The Plates measures approximately 6.5' inches long by 3.5' inches wide. Pre-owned used and is in good used vintage condition. There is a minuscule chip on the rim of one plate (see picture) not very visible on the inside and a bit of mild crazing which is normal in ironstone of this age. These Plates were developed in the Victorian era and was used on the table beside the dinner plate to collect the bones of the meal. They can also be used for salads, finger foods, sushi and sauces at any dining event.
