Vintage Bobblehead Kewpie Caribbean Bisque Porcelain Native Black Girl Kenmar

Awesome little creature. Please read description. Never used. She'll light up anybody's day no matter how gloomy it may be. Maybe she reminds you of someone. Rare Kenmar Kewpie bobblehead in its original box. She's a coin bank!!! A souvenir from Bermuda dating back to the 1960's or thereabout. She could very well be from any Caribbean island or anywhere where it's hot and home to dark skin folks. These were produced in Japan. Entirely made of bisque pottery (matte finished porcelain) and hand painted. The paint on the apple has shrunk/crazed with time. The banana is fine, so is the rest of her. She rests on a bed of straw in her original box. Stands about 6/5" tall. Her wobble bobble head is a continuous smooth bobble that bobbles for a long time before it settles to a still position. Original purpose was a coin bank however the plastic plug is slightly smaller than the opening so there is definitely the probability of the plug falling out, followed by any coins you may have put inside. The plastic plug has probably shrunk over the years and is not snug fitting. If you're gonna use this as a bank I suggest you replace the plug with one that fits better.
