Vintage Blue Phoenix Bird Flying Turkey Oval Vegetable Tureen, Floral, Japan Style #8 This is a beautiful piece with stunning vibrant colors and gorgeous condition for its age. This tureen or covered dish is estimated to be from 1921-1940. This beautiful dish has a vibrant cobalt blue pattern on blue-white porcelain. The body and lid both have phoenix birds with heads perched looking to the left. The traditional pattern of Kiku -chrysanthemum flower and Kiri - Paulownia plants with vines and leaves flowing from them surround the phoenix birds on both sides. Beautiful trim bordering edge of dish and lid. The tureen base has the Tashiro Shoten, Japan backstamp. The body is in near perfect condition.
