If you do add a plant, I suggest adding some rocks to the bottom provide some drainage so this does not have a drainage hole. To be fair, I have over 200 plants and about 50 of them are in pots without drainage and they're doing super well, just be careful not to overwater as that is a recipe for root rot! This vase in gorgeous, shiny and glazed. It's quite large, see the photos of it being held in my hand. It's not heavy but it's sturdy. Unsigned.
