Vintage Black Asymmetric Bakelite Chunky Bangle 1930s-50s

This is a cool and unique vintage black Bakelite bangle with an asymmetric design. One side is thinner than the other in both width and depth. There are some scuffs and spots and other signs of use. Overall, the bracelet is in Possibly made in the 1930s, but it could have been made around the 1950s. Simichrome did not yield much of a result when testing the bangle. However, when rubbed in the palm of my hand, the piece emitted a pungent odor, which indicates to me that it is Bakelite. It, also, has a fair amount of weight to it.
