Vintage Bird Animal African Korhogo Handpainted Textile Mud Cloth Senufo 29x40

Antique mid 20th century (1950-1970) large format Korhogo cloth made by the Senufo people of Korhogo, Ivory Coast or Burkina Faso. Really beautiful, painted on mudcloth. Origin : Ivory Coast Period : around 1950-1970 Size : 29" by 40" Material : cotton Condition : good general condition City/Region : Senufo Handwoven Mounted onto vintage wooden stretchers using staples and the edge is bound with black cloth binding tape. Certainly can be removed from the stretchers and displayed in another way. The binding tape and staples are not in great shape and have deteriorated with time. The painting itself is in good condition. Cloth should be professionally cleaned for best presentation.
