Vintage Bellestone alligator handbag

Beautiful vintage 1950's brown Bellestone alligator skin purse in great condition. Also has a matching small change purse made from the same leather as the interior lining. This Bellestone vintage handbag is in very good condition. Exterior is a rich, dark brown and the interior is a soft pink leather. The interior has side pockets on each side ... one with a zippered pocket and slip in pocket, and the other with a large slip in pocket. There is a small amount of normal wear on the inside near the top, but no damage. The brand name is still visible. The exterior bottom shows no wear. Clasp still works exactly as designed. One handle shows wear near the lower end, which I captured in one of the photos. Bag is 6 1/2" tall, not including height of the handle, 9 1/2" wide, and 4 1/2" from front to back. Peak of the handle is 5" above the top of the bag. Bellestone Bags Inc was a New York City company that supplied high end department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales in the mid 20th century.
