Vintage Bell Trading Company Copper Leaf Brooch Native American Tourist Trinket
"The Bell Trading Post was established in 1932 by Jack and Mildred Michelson in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Route 66. The trading post was designed to cater to tourists traveling west on the new highway and was one of the first to mass produce jewelry for tourists. The Bell Trading Post used the Fred Harvey business model of creating machinery to help their Native American workers produce jewelry. Bench silversmiths used pre-shaped silver bands, stamped designs, and stones set onto the bands"
