lerlisa How did you test them?. The shank looks like celluloid which is usually used on celluloid buttons.

vintagelives @lerlisa Theses buttons are from a 1930’s linen robe I acquired over 30 years ago. The robe was in disrepair so I kept the buttons. Bakelite buttons is how it was represented to me.
