Vintage Aztec Wool Poncho Cape South American Peruvian Guatemalan

Beautiful rare poncho. Poncho has two fabric button closures near the neck and two long scarf sides that can wrap or drape. Nice rope fringe around the bottom in both front and back. The poncho is unbranded and I reviewed others online to guess the history and type of poncho. Unsure of the country or region/history and material only guessing on what I looked up.
