Vintage Austin Cox Aluminum Chess Set 1966 MCM with Display Case RARE ALCOA Case can hang in the wall for display See photos for conditions and measurements Case is 8”x5.5”x1.5” Case has some marks on it as shown, otherwise nice Pieces are in very good condition. Most are perfect but a small few have a minor scratch or ding as photographed. A terrific modernist interpretation for a chess set. Extruded aluminum pieces in walnut case with blue plexiglass cover. The pieces are differentiated by a brown finish to the outside edge for one player or plain aluminum for the other player. This is the smaller of the two versions of chess sets designed by Cox, and the more difficult to find. Display case is designed for wall mounting.
