Vintage Assiniboine Park Zoo Giant Panda Exhibit Winnipeg Canada 1989 Official Tee 🐼🐼 Rare single stich officially licensed tee by Kustom Screenworks Calgary - Adult Size Large on tag but fits more like an adult S/M. Well worn in and super comfy - obviously has signs or wear, discoloration within graphics and paint marks on some areas of the shirt’s fabric. However even with flaws this shirt is amazing - a great addition for any vintage tee collector or panda bear lover! More info on the festival below: It was during 1989 that Winnipeg's Assinboine Park Zoo played host to Rong Rong and Cheng Cheng, giant panda bears. They were on loan to the city by the Bejing Zoo at a cost of $350,000 (U.S.currency). The internationally recognized Pandas in Person project was developed and presented by the Zoological Society and the Assiniboine Park Zoo. Operational though the summer of 1989, the Society helped to raise $3,000,000 in support of the overall program - including construction of a new facility to house the Pandas.
