Vintage Asian 4" Ceramic CHESS PIECES Te Puke Ceramics NZ 22 Pieces - READ DESC Beautiful handmade decorative ceramic bisqueware chess pieces with an Asian Warlord theme. There are two groups of pieces, one half is gray, the other half is white. A complete chess set would have 32 pieces, there are only 22 pieces here, with approximately 4 pieces damaged with either small chips, or a broken off tip of an ear, or in the case of the white pieces the tip of a temple. Even if a few are damaged the other 18 pieces could be mixed into another ceramic chess set or used individually to create art or be a piece of art. Each piece is 4" tall or a bit more. They are finished in a high-gloss glaze. Please review all photos before purchasing. The chess pieces in the photos are the actual set being sold. In my research, I could find only one other set of these pieces. From that information was able to determine these pieces were made at a ceramics shop in New Zealand sometime in the early 2000s.
