do you know what type of stones these are?

Unfortunately, I do not; nor could I tell you the metal used. I assumed it was a costume piece(?), as I found no markings, or engravings to indicate otherwise, but shirt of having it appraised, I have very little information. It was part of the estate of a woman who was born in the 1920's. That's all I've got! I just recognized the design features as classic art déco, and felt that someone, perhaps with more knowledge than me, may enjoy it.

The inside wear pattern indicates to me that it may be, gold-plated, and the stones setting are closed in the back....that is to say, it is a solid setting, and light would not come through the stones.

This reinforces my belief that the stones are rhinestones, glass,or some other costume-grade stone.
