Vintage Art Deco Hall China Hotpoint Refrigerator Dish

American Art Deco style square refrigerator leftover or casserole dish with lid in gray tone color produced by the Hall China Company for Hotpoint refrigerators around the 1940s. Before plastic Tupperware became popular, and as refrigerators arrived to the American homes, Hall China Co. was producing refrigerator “leftover” dishes, water pitchers and butter containers in ceramic. The Ohio company developed a single fire production method which allowed for a faster process that also prevents crazing on the glaze. A stamp on the bottom reads: Made exclusively for Hotpoint by the Hall China Co. Made in the USA.
