Imari ware (also known as Arita ware)
Imari ware is porcelain, which was first developed in the early 17th century in the Arita area, which is now Saga Prefecture in southern Japan. It was exported to Europe from the late 17th century, when European royalty and aristocracy collected porcelain made in the east of bright colors and patterns. In the 19th century, Imari ware was frequently exhibited in international exhibitions and became popular in Europe and the U.S.
This fan box is in like new condition. This particular pattern and box style are rare amognst Imari ware. Absolutely no cracks, chips, or repair to item.
