Here we have the most detailed vintage trouble light clamp lamp from an old Phillips Gas Station . You wanna talk an immediate stunner? Well, here we go. I've never seen this much metallic intricacy in vintage trouble light cage in my life. Zoom in on all the mini springs between each ring. There are so many it looks like a tube. Then you look down and see the double knuckle ball adjusters. And the cherry on top? The wicked adjustable wire clamps at the head of the lamp. They spring open like a scene from Alien. The cage is a twisted industrial cocoon. Unreal.
This little demon lamp lit up an old Phillips station during the first of the 20th century. I'm guessing the lamp is from the 30s or 40s. That's when this thing landed in a meteor that cratered the earth.
As for the changing the bulb, you expand the wire clasps along the face of the light. Then pull off the light cap and do the job.
The rare trouble light measures about 13" at its normal stance. The light measures about 9" deep, and the diameter is the 5" As you can see, there is patina everywhere. Every inch. The knuckle adjusters are nice and tight.
