Vintage Antique 20’s-30’s Embroidered Leather Sandals, Possibly Russian?

Vintage Antique 1920’s to 30’s Embroidered Leather Sandals, Possibly Russian Incredible vintage 20’s-30’s leather sandals with exquisite embroidery. Beautifully made. Show some signs of wear but these beauties have plenty of life left in them. Extremely rare and one of a kind. Marked on the bottom with previous owner’s name- “Norma Steinberg.” I found these at an antique shop in Salem, Oregon and using her name was able to discover a 1940 census record stating Norma was born in Russia in 1903. Perhaps these shoes were brought to America with her. They definitely have an Eastern European look to the embroidery. In 20+ years selling vintage I’ve never come across anything like them before.
