Absolutely STUNNING 60s Alfred Shaheen Hawaiian / tiki wiggle dress with matching shawl. Blue and green floral cotton with a sexy bustier style top, adjustable straps. Faux wrap skirt with buckle at the side waist. Shirred top for the perfect fit. Excellent used condition, no flaws, stains, or other signs of wear. Looks to have been respectfully altered, there could be up to an inch on both sides that can be let out- see photos and measurements. 100% cotton. Matching shawl with same floral fabric, backed in vibrant turquoise. Cute scalloped edges. Shawl measures approx. 16” x 72”. Alfred Shaheen was ~the~ designer of the midcentury tiki aesthetic in Hawaii. He was a textile pioneer, with a training program for artisans and a fabric making factory empire. This dress was dated by the style of the dress and the style of the tag.
