Vintage African Beaded Bone Bracelet

The bracelet is made of cow bones and Maasai beads. The big square beads are hand carved out of cow bone then batiked with a sun burst print. Batik is a time consuming process. Wax is applied to the bones in the desired pattern. The bones are then dipped in dye, parts that are waxed don't get the dye. Once the wax is removed, a print like the one on these bracelet is produced. This bracelet is stretchy and will fit most wrists.
